Welcome to Poderi Arcangelo, Agriturismo and Organic Farm in San Gimignano, founded in 1970 with the production of wine and oil and expanded in 1993 with the Agriturismo activity. Our reception is divided into three Casali and a Fienile Bio each with its own swimming pool, garden and private parking and all within a radius of 500 meters on this splendid hill 8 km from San Gimignano and 3 from Certaldo.

We were among the first in San Gimignano to open our home to guests who love the Tuscan countryside and in 1993 after 2 years of renovation the Arcangelo house, an old peasant home, after being uninhabited for many years was divided into 9 bedrooms with bathroom, a large living room with fireplace, the kitchen on the ground floor with the veranda and our first cellar for the processing of Chianti wine.

In 2002 we then opened Casa San Raffaello divided into eight apartments from 2 to 6 places each, with plenty of outdoor space for children, a view of San Gimignano and the swimming pool.

Now we are in Casa Capezzano which was opened in 2004 after 2 years that saw us engaged in this tiring renovation of 19 rooms all with bathroom, some also in bio-ecological architecture, our Restaurant, the Reception and the room for the sale of our products such as Chianti wine, Vernaccia, different types of IGT also aged in barriques, extra virgin olive oil, Vinsanto, grappa, jams, honey and also other typical products all exclusively produced by organic farming.

Next to Casa Capezzano is the Fienile Bio which has been renovated following bio-ecological architecture criteria.

In an organic farm a building renovation that took into account the parameters dictated by bio-ecological architecture could not be missing.

Keeping in mind that all the buildings have been renovated favoring the use of local techniques and materials in the barn we have tried to use all the additional measures that architects specialized in this sector make available to us, with soil measurements and magnetic interference.

In the barn all the smallest details have been taken care of, starting from the use of materials that are always and in any case natural both in the renovation and in the furnishings with the use of all the technical measures available.

For example, a bio-cleanergy has been used that works like a large magnet to avoid the formation of natural magnetic fields, while a bioswitch in each room prevents those generated by the electrical system, so that when we remove the use of electricity to go to sleep the entire system is automatically deactivated removing every magnetic field from the environment, you will feel like sleeping in an open field. Casa Capezzano is the heart of the Poderi Arcangelo farmhouse.

Completed renovation in 2005, this ancient 17th century farmhouse houses the reception, internet point, breakfast room and restaurant, a small room for tasting and selling typical products from the Poderi Arcangelo organic farm, a wine cellar for processing grapes and a barrel cellar for aging wines.

Eight classic, superior or junior suite rooms with bathrooms, an infinity pool overlooking the elegant Chianti hills, and a terrace overlooking the towers of San Gimignano make Poderi Arcangelo one of the most pleasant and beautiful farmhouses in Capezzano. Before becoming a farmer's house, it is said that this house was a convent where some friars took care of the sick and gave hospitality to the needy who had moved away from the town of Certaldo. After a careful restoration of its original materials such as the Tuscan terracotta floor and the wooden beamed roof, today Casa Arcangelo presents itself as the oldest farmhouse surrounded by vines, olive trees and cypresses, with a scenic view of the surrounding medieval villages. Each apartment has a private garden where you can eat and enjoy the landscape and the panoramic swimming pool shared with the others. The apartments have one or two double bedrooms, kitchen with fireplace and sofa bed, bathroom with shower.
