RESIDENCE TERME DI SORANO
In the heart of the upper Tuscan Maremma, in the Municipality of Sorano, a place rich in Etruscan and Romanesque testimonies, stands the Residence Terme di Sorano, a structure immersed in a context that also includes the Pieve di Santa Maria dell’Aquila. Surrounded by the hills of the Upper Maremma, the Residence Terme di Sorano is peacefully immersed in the greenery of its gardens. Harmoniously integrated into the surrounding landscape consisting of woods, pastures and cultivated fields, the Terme di Sorano is located a few kilometers away from the splendid ancient villages of Sorano, Pitigliano, Sovana, Saturnia and Scansano, jewels of the Maremma Grossetana. The residence also has a path that winds through the woodland vegetation, between ancient passages and traces of past history, with equipped relaxation areas. It is also possible to organize excursions and guided visits to the nearby Etruscan necropolises and stroll through the characteristic streets of the tuff cities of Sovana, Sorano and Pitigliano.

APARTMENTS AND VILLAS
The villas and apartments of the Residence are pleasantly furnished in Tuscan style, equipped with spacious and comfortable spaces, for a holiday dedicated to relaxation and well-being, immersed in the greenery and tranquility of the Tuscan countryside. Guests have access to a comfortable thermal pool with natural hot spring water, a sports pool and a large area equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, to satisfy everyone's needs. The Terme di Sorano residence consists of 40 housing units: 30 apartments, of which 4 are the historic core of the residence and 10 are villas built around the parish church and the thermal spring. Each unit has a large porch and private garden (ground floor), covered balconies (some with solarium) on the first floor, with wooden outdoor furniture. You can choose from different accommodation options depending on the needs of each guest.
The apartments and villas have well-equipped kitchens, a bathroom for each bedroom, airy rooms, independent heating, satellite TV, large terraces and solariums with wooden outdoor furniture.

THE POOLS
Recent hydrogeological research has confirmed the presence of a significant flow of thermal water that has allowed the ancient spring located upstream of the Pieve to be enhanced. This natural wealth is now exploited by the residence which has a large thermal pool, part of which is reserved for children, equipped with two waterfalls under which you can be pampered by a pleasant natural hydromassage throughout the year. The bicarbonate-magnesium-calcium water flows from the springs at a temperature of 37.5° and its beneficial properties have been known since ancient times. Today it is possible to enjoy the benefits of this thermal water in the unique setting of the Residence Terme di Sorano.
The structure has its own wellness center, a regulation tennis court, bar-restaurant, private parking, meeting-congress room, children's play area, mountain bike rental and Wifi coverage. 800 meters away there is a partner riding school.

Pieve di Santa Maria dell'Aquila and the Meeting Room
Exactly in the center of the Residence stands the ancient Pieve called Santa Maria dell'Aquila, the ancient heart of the current structure. A careful restoration has brought to light the historical and artistic value of this ancient village. The first documented news dates back to the mid-fourteenth century, when it appears in the oldest statutes of Sorano issued by the Orsini counts. The dedication to S. Maria of churches and parishes located near springs is evidence of a Christian replacement of an ancient pagan cult of water. Most likely it was born as a site of worship: the healing waters were linked to the depths of the earth, to life, fertility, purity, health. Inside it is possible to organize meetings, exhibitions, events in a place with an elegant and artistic charm.

FROM THE SOUTH
A1 exit Orte, take the highway to Viterbo-Orte exit Siena-Cassia continue towards Valentano, San Quirico di Sorano, once in Sorano turn left towards Pitigliano. 3km from the town you will find our residence.
From the Florence-Siena motorway: Siena SUD exit, direction Cassia for Rome, Buonconvento. After the Radicofani junction continue for about 5km and turn right following the signs for Sorano. After 3km from the town of Sorano, direction Pitigliano, you will find our Residence.
From the Aurelia, from the North: Manciano exit. Follow signs for Manciano and then for Pitigliano. After passing the town in the direction of Sorano, 6km on the right you will find our Residence.
